Yes. One block, five sizes, cut relaxed. The size guide lists the flat chest, hip, length and inseam of every garment so you can compare against something in your wardrobe rather than guess from a letter.
Down for anything knitted (rib, jersey, fleece) because it gives; up for anything woven (poplin, flannel, linen) because it does not. If you like sleepwear roomy, up in both cases.
Within a fabric group, to the centimetre. Between groups there is a little variation because the cut is different - the loopback sweatshirt is boxier than the pyjama shirt on purpose - and the size guide shows it.
A little, and we tell you how much. Every product page carries the shrinkage we measured after five washes at 40 °C. Where a fabric shrinks more than 2% we have cut the garment longer to allow for it, so buy your usual size.
Pilling. Brushing lifts fibres off the surface, and for the first three washes or so some of them roll up. Wash inside out and it stops by the fourth wash. It is not a fault and it is on the product page.
Brushed cotton is soft immediately and pills at first. Loopback is unbrushed, stiffer to begin with, never pills and softens for a year. Fleece is loopback that has been brushed heavily - warmest, and shrinks the most. The fabric guide sets it out side by side.
Tumble dryer, too hot. Jersey is knitted in a spiral and heat lets it relax back towards it. Dry low or on a line and they hang straight. Once twisted, a damp press back into shape mostly recovers it.
They felted, which happens when wool goes above 30 °C or is tumble dried. Every wool and alpaca item here says 30 °C, wool cycle, dry flat. Felted socks cannot be un-felted. If it happened on the first wash despite that, write to us anyway.
Immediately and permanently. It is linen. If a crease would bother you, the melange set is the alternative and we would rather sell you that once.
Seams that open, cuffs or ribbing that lose their shape, and waistbands or elastic that stop holding, within 100 home washes. We repair it if we can and replace it if we cannot, and we pay postage both ways.
Pilling, shrinkage within the figure printed on the page, colour change from washing with darks or drying in strong sun, snags on jewellery, felting from a too-hot wash, and moth damage. Those are the fabric behaving as described, not failing.
We do not, and we do not ask you to prove it. We ask when you bought it and what happened. A seam that opens inside two years of normal use is inside the guarantee as far as we are concerned.
No. You have a two-year statutory right to goods that conform to the contract under EU and Portuguese law regardless of anything on this site. The guarantee sits alongside that and adds to it.
Orders placed before 13:00 Lisbon time on a working day leave that afternoon. Later than that, the next morning. A tracking link arrives when the label is printed.
No - returns need to be unworn, unwashed and with the size tab still attached, within 30 days. Try it on over what you are wearing. If it fails after wearing, that is the guarantee, not a return.
Only unopened. Once the band is off they are yours; we cannot resell them and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
To the UK, Switzerland and Norway. Import duty and local VAT are collected by the carrier on delivery in those three countries and are not in our price.
